BASEMENT

When we bought our Chicago home last spring, I wasn’t super excited about the unfinished basement. Although it is an ample size, it currently doesn’t provide extra useable living space.
But when the time comes, I can’t wait to add eco-friendly insulation (it’s freezing cold down there), update the flooring (cement, be gone!), and adorn the walls with fresh no-VOC paint (and some of our framed concert posters). Our cold, gloomy underground space will soon be a comfortable haven for the kids to play and adults to have adult time.

Sustainable Basements
Stay tuned for details about how we update our unfinished basement. Hoping that happens sometime in the next five years!
